Today, in Portugal, we have more than 900 employees and 3 factories for the production of injectable medicines.
Hikma, intends to recruit aSupervisor, Pharmaceutical Compounding(m/f) to integrate Compounding - Hikma I/BDepartment,on-site workreportingto the Manager, Compounding
Main Responsibilities:
* Performs job tasks in strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), company Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) and Food and Drug Administration (FDA) requirements.
* Provides oversight regarding compounding equipment sterilization and ensure that batch compounding is performed accurately and in compliance with the company’s GMPs, SOPs and safety guidelines.
* Generates and implements plans whilst ensuring that compounding schedules are developed and executed in a timely manner, so it does not lead to interruptions in the compounding processes and in full compliance with SOPs, cGMPs EU and FDA regulations and that no disruptions take place in the compounding processes as a result of personnel, supply materials, and/or equipment’s shortages or interruptions issues. Evaluates the implementation of new/improved procedures that can contribute to enhanced product quality and increased efficiency in batch compounding.
* Manages the Department equipment and stocks control.
* Generates and follows up on the daily/weekly compounding plans and reports in close coordination with other departments.
* Reports the daily events to management.
* Creates, updates and reviews written procedures.
* Conducts and reviews production investigations and protocols.
* Manages the staff within the compounding department and assists with the recruitment of new staff.
* Conducts the human resource performance evaluation of department employees in conjunction with the HR Department and Department Manager.
* Reviews, approves, and keeps track of human resource related information and documentation such as absence.
* Conducts training sessions.
* Ensures that company policies and strategies are conveyed to all production personnel and followed by them, whilst encouraging them to remain motivated.
Profile:
* Degree in Chemistry or Technical Science (Chemistry, Pharmaceutical, Microbiology)
* Experience on a supervisor role in Pharmaceutical Industry (preferably)
* Availability to work shifts
* Basic computer skills
* Dynamic & Proactive
* High level of concentration
* Strict adherence to instructions / rules
* Tasks/ Resources Time management
* Training and technical coaching skills
* Aptitude and skills to operate and troubleshoot equipment and machinery
* Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adjust operating equipment.
* Thorough understanding of the compounding processes
