Job Role Summary:
We are seeking an experienced culinary professional to take on the role of Kitchen Supervisor. The successful candidate will have excellent leadership skills and be able to motivate a team of cooks in the kitchen.
As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for directing and supervising a team of cooks, ensuring that high-quality dishes are prepared and presented to the highest standards. You will work closely with other members of the kitchen team to ensure seamless service and maintain the reputation of our establishment.
In this role, you will also be responsible for coordinating and supervising team members assigned to your section, undertaking daily recipe reviews and maintaining accurate records. Additionally, you will be responsible for controlling production levels and recommending ideas for improvements to enhance customer satisfaction and overall quality.
Key Responsibilities:
* Directs, coaches, supports, supervises, and evaluates direct reports.
* Coordinates and supervises team members assigned to their section.
* Undertakes recipe reviews daily and maintains recipe folders in immaculate condition.
* Responsible for follow-through on requests within their area of responsibility.
* Controls production levels and recommends ideas for improvements.
Candidate Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you will need to possess excellent leadership skills, strong communication and problem-solving abilities, as well as the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. You must also be proficient in food preparation, presentation, and safety practices, and have knowledge of menu planning and food costing techniques. Additionally, you will need to be comfortable working in a dynamic kitchen environment and be willing to learn and adapt to changing circumstances.
