JC Aircraft Maintenance is currently recruiting a Supervisor Sheet Metal Worker to join our highly skilled management team in Porto, Portugal. The successful candidate will work in cooperation with our client airline Ryanair.
At the Porto facility, we conduct extensive line maintenance checks on Ryanair's fleet of Boeing 737-800 / 8200 aircraft.
Ryanair is Europe's favourite airline, carrying 160 million passengers annually on more than 3,000 daily flights from 85 bases, connecting over 225 destinations in 33 countries with a fleet of over 520 aircraft. Role
- Lead, supervise, and coordinate the Sheet Metal Workers team, ensuring efficient structural repairs in full compliance with manuals and standards.
- Oversee and approve aircraft repairs alongside the Standards department, ensuring precision and adherence to specifications.
- Assist in deploying recovery operations for AOG aircraft with structural damages.
- Analyze and implement repair solutions following Maintenance Repair Manuals (MRM) and manufacturer guidelines.
- Review and complete technical documentation and maintenance records for accuracy and compliance.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, regulations, and MOE.
- Promote a safe, clean working environment and enforce health & safety protocols.
- Mentor team members for professional development.
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with regulatory authorities and company MOE.
- Certify completed work according to MOE and company procedures.
Requirements
- EASA Part 66 B1 License and/or Degree in Aircraft Engineering/Maintenance.
- Extensive experience in aircraft structural repairs and sheet metal work.
- Proven leadership in managing structural repair teams in aviation.
- Expertise in sheet metal fabrication, assembly, and repair techniques.
- Knowledge of composite repairs (preferred).
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and maintenance documentation.
- Practical experience with specialized tools and equipment.
- Technical knowledge in diagnosing and repairing aircraft structures.
- Leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
- Fluent in English.
- Valid EU/EEA passport.
- Understanding of EASA Part 145 regulations.
- Ability to motivate teams in a fast-paced environment.
