We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to join a dynamic food processing facility. This is an excellent opportunity to lead a production team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, focusing on quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
* Operate and lead a plant team to achieve optimal product quality
* Maximize production throughput while minimizing waste
* Implement and drive continuous improvement initiatives
* Ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards
* Monitor and assess production performance, taking corrective action as needed
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications:
* Matric with Mathematics and Science, or N3 qualification
* National Certificate in Food Processing
* Diploma in Production Management
* Leadership/Management Training
Experience:
* 6 months to 1 year experience in food/dairy processing role
* Team leader or supervisory experience essential
Essential Knowledge & Skills
* Food/Fruit Processing and Technology
* Practical application of fruit processing techniques and equipment
* Production processes, quality control, and cost management
* HACCP, ISO standards, and general manufacturing practices
* Raw materials handling and processing requirements
* Maintenance, cleaning, and health & safety procedures
* Strong monitoring and assessment capabilities
* Ability to drive performance improvements and corrective actions
Working Conditions
* Shift work may be required in the future
