BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently looking for “dynamic, results driven” individual to join as Customer & Production Planner Supervisor (M/F/D) at our production plant in Viana, Portugal.
Key Accountabilities:
* Manage the customer service team to ensure calendar management and cascading analysis are carried out in line with the defined strategy;
* Promote a strategic mindset within the Customer and Production Planners team to meet the company’s logistics objectives;
* Encourage proactive communication flows with customers to ensure proper follow-up on customer demands;
* Support Customer Planners in making waterfall analyses over customer demand variations;
* Ensure regular oversight of master data in the ERP system to maintain alignment with company strategy;
* Approve special transports organized by BorgWarner to Customer if necessary;
* Act as the first level of escalation for issues involving customers and production planning;
* Monitor customer on time delivery performance;
* Continuously analyze and improve planning tools to ensure they reflect current business needs;
* Monitor work in process and finished goods inventory in house;
* Manage the team of production planners;
* Assure execution of weekly master production plan and analyze production mix attainment;
* Coordinate production planning activities along with other departments;
* Ensure monthly production targets are met as define in SIOP;
* Define strategy for a leveled production plan and create a scheduling logic in all production processes;
* Perform and a mid and long term analysis on overall capacity in order to define a 18 month production forecast;
* Ensure correct SAP parametrization to assure inventory control;
* Develop a culture characterized by good professional ethics and involvement in the process among employees in all áreas;
* Comply with environmental, health and safety, quality and productivity standards;
* Comply with the organization's rules and internal regulations: Code of Ethics, practice and working period;
* Respect workplace safety and cleanliness rules;
* Perform other tasks not included in the activity for which they were hired, when the needs or convenience of service so warrant, for the period of time necessary for the aforementioned needs or convenience of service.
Education & Experience
* Bachelor’s degree in Management, Engineering, Logistics, or equivalent field is required;
* Minimum of 3 years’ experience in customer or production planning within an automotive production environment;
* Previous experience in the automotive and/or EMS (Electronics Manufacturing Services) industries is considered a strong advantage;
* Proven negotiation skills are a plus;
* Proficiency in ERP systems (specially SAP);
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint);
* Familiarity with Lotus Notes, eRFQ tools and web-based intranet systems;
* Demonstrates a proactive, flexible, and enthusiastic approach to learning and continuous improvement;
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a team;
* Excellent analytical and critical thinking abilities;
* Highly organized, with a structured approach to problem solving;
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact across all levels of the organization;
* Capable of working under pressure, managing multiple priorities, and meeting deadlines;
* Able to work independently with minimal supervision, while also being a collaborative team player;
* Self-motivated and self-directed, capable of setting both tactical and strategic priorities;
* Fluency in English and Portuguese is required (Frech and/or German are a plus);
* Willingness and availability to travel as needed.
