Our client is a multinational company of reference in the energy and construction sector and wants someone for an open-ended contract.
Only applications from profiles with B1 and higher domains in English will be accepted.
What does a Supervisor do?
The Supervisor is directly responsible for the teams in the field. It ensures that daily work takes place safely, efficiently, in an organized manner and within the required technical standards. He acts as the link between the Project Manager and the workers on site, ensuring the correct execution of tasks in electrical works more specifically, in the infrastructure of low and medium-voltage overhead lines.

Main day-to-day responsibilities
• Manage and lead field teams, organizing tasks and ensuring everyone knows what they need to do daily;
• Ensure safety on site, including signage, barriers, exclusion zones and traffic management;
• Ensure that all workers are aware of the risks on site, are enrolled in the risk assessment, and that this is updated as conditions change;
• Check mandatory documentation, such as post sheets, electrical tests, photographic reports and time sheets;
• Being the point of contact between the field and the office, maintaining the continuous flow of information and documentation;
• Maintain direct contact with the SAP (Senior Authorized Person) and the Project Manager to ensure that the planning is feasible with the existing resources;
• Ensure that material, equipment and vehicles are ready, checked and safe for use;
• Supervise work from start to finish of the day, ensuring quality and compliance with the plan;
• Identify training needs and support safe team development;
• Deal with the public politely and professionally, representing the company in a positive light.

Important technical aspects
• Knowledge of SPEN (Scottish Power Energy Networks) Safety Rules, including strict adherence to standards such as CH8 and the Code of Good Practice;
• Verification of fundamental electrical tests such as polarity, ground loop impedance and phase rotation;
• Management of Permits to Work (PTWs);
• Completion and validation of the quality audit spreadsheet and correction of any non-conformities (NCRs).

Ideal profile for this role
• Practical experience as a Linesman (LE-1) on overhead electricity lines;
• Ability to work under pressure and manage teams in the field;
• Good communication, attention to detail, and proactive, solution-oriented mindset;
• In-depth knowledge of safety procedures and technical operations in the electrical sector;
• Leadership spirit, but also capable of being directly involved in the field;
• Competent in managing technical and safety documentation.

Requirements and qualifications
• At least 2 years of experience as a Linesman (LE-1 level);
• Valid SPEN authorization for low voltage switching operations (LV Switching);
• CSCS certificate or equivalent (desirable);
• Familiarity with safety policies, British Standards and quality management systems.
