Job Purpose
The Regional Record-to-Report (R2R) Process Tower Supervisor role is to ensure that financial records and position, which is crucial for decision making, statutory compliance, and stakeholder communications are accurate, complete, and valid. The regional R2R Supervisor will also work very closely with the Regional R2R Process Tower Manager to support the Business Process Outsourcer (BPO), Regional Financial & Treasury Controllership, and other finance functions to ensure alignment and adherence to the R2R processes, internal controls to achieve the reliability and integrity of financial data key to the company's success.
Responsabilities:
* Provide direction and guidance to the R2R team accountants/ analysts for nonstandard transactions including direction to the BPO.
* Monitor progress of regional R2R deliverables to ensure timely completion of activities and high standard.
* Ensure that the R2R internal controls/SOX requirements are performed on time and in full.
* Ensure that all R2R processes at the regional level are in adherence to accounting standards (GAAP/IAS) to achieve reliability and integrity of financial data.
* Support the coordination of information gathering for internal and external audits.
* Provide input on the design of new processes that will enhance the efficiency and productivity of the R2R process.
* Oversight of statutory accounts in line with relevant regulations.
* Oversight of indirect tax return compilation and liaising with the BPO / country where required for a timely submission and payment in line with relevant regulations.
* Intercompany oversight, support with issue resolution and compliance
* Working closely with other GBS finance process towers to coordinate complex cost coding requirements in line with Group/CoE instructions.
* Support the resolution of issues escalation for process end users.
* Driving new ways of working within the business as they develop further, working with the Centre of Excellence process to ensure alignment and guidance where applicable.
* Communicating known issues to end users in the business and providing workaround instructions where relevant.
* Providing regular feedback to ensure continuous improvement and supporting/ championing the new R2R processes to drive global standardization.
* Work closely with various Finance users and teams across all regions (including the BPO Supervisors), to proactively identify improvement initiatives, best practices, standardization, and automation opportunities to be incorporated into the Optimization roadmap whilst ensuring that all are aligned with the roadmap priorities.
* Working closely with Regional Process Tower R2R Manager to coordinate feedback from global controllership, Centers of Expertise, FP&A and Finance Business Partner teams regarding R2R outputs.
Technical Competencies:
* 5+ years of experience in Supervisor roles specifically covering R2R processes, cross-functional understanding, leading Teams, and major change projects.
* Experience in a Global Business Services environment would be beneficial.
* Strong client service mentality: able to collaborate with stakeholders, employees, vendors to deliver a positive experience.
* In depth knowledge and understanding of the mechanics in the R2R process stream and how these fit into the end-to-end financial process environment.
* Operational experience of Oracle (preferred but not essential).
