Job Description

The Fixed Networks division focuses on providing broadband infrastructure and services to telecommunications operators, internet service providers, and other organizations. The primary goal of Fixed Networks is to enable the delivery of high-speed internet, voice, and video services over fixed-line networks, such as fiber-optic, copper, and hybrid fiber-coaxial (HFC) networks.

As a FN Senior Engineer, you'll work in the FN portfolio to support deployment of Nokia's FN solutions, including 3rd party products where required — acting as a cross-functional expert with strong curiosity to learn architectural understanding and providing hands-on support capabilities.

You will collaborate closely with customers, architects, integration teams, and R&D to both shape and support robust, scalable designs. This role offers high-level design engagement involvement with hands-on troubleshooting and deployment validation — ideal for engineers who thrive at the opportunity to involved in design, delivery, and support.

How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn

- Be part of customer-facing FN engagements, support in architecture activities and technical troubleshooting.
- Participate in high- and low-level design reviews, and validation for customer deployments.
- Provide guidance on Nokia's validated Data Center Fabric design best practices and solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex system-level issues in multi-vendor, multi-domain environments.
- Reproduce customer issues in a lab setting, validate fixes, and manage escalations with R&D.
- Support the full life cycle of Fixed Network deployments — from integration, staging, and testing, through to post-deployment operations.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as Product Line Management, Care, and Pre-sales to ensure successful solution adoption and satisfaction.
- Maintain ongoing customer interaction to provide updates, guidance, and maintain alignment with SLAs.

Key Skills And Experience

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field.
- Experience in telecom technical support, engineering, or operations roles
- Understanding of Fixed Access Technologies (GPON, XGS-PON, VDSL/Vectoring, FTTH, DSLAMs, Fixed Access Controllers).
- Layer 2/Layer3 protocols
- Familiarity with FN architectures, broadband provisioning, and OSS/BSS integration.
- Knowledge of SDAN (Software-Defined Access Networks) / NETCONF / YANG, virtualization, and network automation would help.
