Job Overview
We are seeking a seasoned finance expert to lead our regional financial operations in Southern Europe. As Regional Finance Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of financial reporting across multiple properties.
Key Responsibilities
* Financial Reporting: Prepare and consolidate monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements, ensuring timely and accurate submission in line with internal policies and local statutory requirements.
* Analysis and Insights: Assist in tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) and providing variance analysis on operating results, identifying areas for improvement.
* Compliance and Controls: Ensure adherence to local financial regulations, tax laws, and accounting standards in each operating country, coordinating with local accountants, auditors, and legal advisers to ensure accurate and timely statutory filings and tax submissions.
* Internal Controls: Implement and monitor internal controls, policies, and standard procedures across all properties, developing compliance checklists and audit readiness.
* Financial Operations: Support the monthly close process by reviewing general ledger activity, bank reconciliations, and accruals, verifying data quality and financial accuracy with property-level staff or outsourced partners.
* Budgeting and Forecasting: Participate in the annual budgeting process and periodic reforecasts for properties in the region, tracking and reporting on budget vs. actual performance, highlighting risks and opportunities.
* Process Improvement: Identify and implement scalable finance and reporting tools suitable for multi-entity hospitality operations, supporting the rollout of reporting templates and dashboards for internal stakeholders.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
* Minimum 5 years of experience in finance, preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Familiarity with financial software and systems.
