Customer Service Agent – German Speaking (1 year parental leave cover) HBK - Hottinger Brüel & Kjær seeks a German‐speaking Customer Service Agent to cover a one‐year parental leave. The role supports customers across Europe, handling phone calls, emails, quotes, orders and repairs aligned with HBK's strategy. The position reports to the Customer Care Manager for Central Europe and is based in Porto, Portugal.ResponsibilitiesHandle daily customer calls, chat and web shop inquiries.Process external and internal emails.Provide after‐sales support, register customer cases and prepare quotes.Receive and process customer purchase orders using SF‐CRM.Resolve high‐volume first‐line customer queries or complaints or triage as appropriate.Act as the first line of contact, ensuring a positive customer experience and following up through the correct channels.Maintain accurate data records for continuous improvement analysis.Escalate issues following the procedure while maintaining customer sensitivity.Professional QualificationsSuccessful experience in Customer Service and/or Sales.Comfortable interacting with customers from backgrounds.Strong business acumen and excellent organization.Personal SkillsCollaborative teamwork in a multicultural environment.High customer orientation and sales experience.Commercial understanding and problem solving.Excellent verbal and written communication.Driven by customer satisfaction and attention to detail.Target‐ and detail‐oriented, self‐motivated and adaptable.Proficient in Microsoft Office and SalesForce CRM; experience with SAP S4 HANA sales & logistics.Fluent in German and English; additional languages are a plus.Excellent organizational and retention skills.Ability to multitask in a fast‐paced, high‐demand environment.Location Porto, Portugal – reporting to the Customer Care Manager for Central Europe.Application Please submit your application and CV via the direct application link.
