Finance Operations Manager
Our organization is seeking an accomplished finance professional to fill a key leadership role. As a Finance Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial aspects of our North American operations, valued at approximately $100 million. This position requires a strategic and operational leader who can ensure effective financial management, including comprehensive financial reporting, commercial activities, and risk management.
Job Description:
This multifaceted role includes managing commercial activities, providing financial insight, directing accounting support functions, and collaborating with various teams to meet financial goals and manage risks effectively. You will work closely with operational leads to ensure alignment with strategic objectives, lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes, and prepare regular financial reports.
You will also be responsible for tracking cost-saving initiatives, identifying, quantifying, and validating savings opportunities in procurement, process, and labor optimization. Additionally, you will maintain a comprehensive risk register, work with cross-functional teams to identify and assess risks, and present regular risk updates to leadership.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or equivalent within a comparable financial role ideally within the services industry
* Proven track record in finance (minimum 2 years' experience)
* Commercial exposure to be a support and business partner to finance and operations
* Experience of financial modelling
* Matrix management experience
* Experience of working across geographical borders and cultures
* Excellent communication skills both written and spoken in English
* Process oriented
* Rigorous and analytical
* Hands on pro-active approach
* Proven ability to work in a collaborative way
