In this role, you will be responsible for:
Being an active member of one of the VWFS Platform Engineering teams, supporting the Contract Management System platform used across multiple European markets.
Designing, implementing, and maintaining modern CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, ensuring secure, reliable, and compliant delivery workflows.
Defining and enforcing Git best practices (branching strategies, protections, code review standards) across markets to improve delivery governance and consistency.
Developing automation and scripting (e.G., PowerShell, Bash, Python) to improve CI/CD efficiency, reduce manual toil, and strengthen platform security.
Supporting and enhancing hybrid-cloud environments (on-prem + Azure) while ensuring compliance with internal security, data protection, and regulatory requirements.
Providing 3rd-level platform support, guiding teams through complex delivery, infrastructure, or deployment issues, and promoting continuous improvement through RCA and post-incident reviews.
Collaborating with other team members to reduce complexity and improve solution scalability
Implementing and operating observability and monitoring solutions (metrics, logs, traces, alerts) using available tooling, ensuring high service health, proactive detection, and actionable insights.
We believe that the right profile for this job should have / be:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Informatics, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
3+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, with solid knowledge of core services (compute, networking, storage, identity, monitoring).
Proven experience designing and managing CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, including environments, approvals, security checks, and automated testing.
Strong practical knowledge of Git-based delivery governance (branching models, merge strategies, policies, pull request standards).
Solid understanding of networking concepts (VNET, firewalls, routing, private endpoints, DNS, VPN/ExpressRoute and Load Balancing).
Experience with monitoring, observability, and operational health tooling (e.G., Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Dynatrace, etc).
Understanding of Azure cloud architectures, hybrid infrastructures, and secure cloud operations.
Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Bicep, Ansible) is a strong plus.
Experience participating in incident response, debugging complex platform issues, and providing structured problem analysis.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
High level of self-responsibility, ownership, and ability to work independently while contributing as a team player.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Fluent in spoken and written English.
