We are hiring an Enterprise Architect with a strong hands-on background
We are looking for an experienced Enterprise Architect who combines strategic thinking with deep technical expertise and enjoys working close to engineering teams. This role plays a key part in shaping enterprise-wide architecture while actively supporting solution delivery and organizational transformation.
Your Responsibilities
Define, evolve, and operationalize the enterprise architecture in close collaboration with leadership, architects, and delivery teams
Maintain transparency of current and future architecture landscapes, including principles, standards, and governance processes
Identify optimization opportunities by assessing innovation, cost efficiency, security, complexity, risks, synergies, and compliance
Design future-state architectures and translate them into executable strategies, roadmaps, and architectural decision documents
Contribute to large-scale transformation initiatives, supporting change management, system interfaces, and process alignment
Collaborate closely with domain architects (application, infrastructure, cloud) to ensure architectural coherence
Apply pragmatic, lean Enterprise Architecture practices focused on business outcomes rather than theoretical perfection
Prepare, facilitate, and validate architecture decisions through structured and transparent advisory processes
Work hands-on with solution architects in cloud-native, microservices, and DevOps contexts, ensuring high documentation quality and architectural consistency
Facilitate architecture workshops and act as a trusted advisor to key stakeholders
Ensure architectural decisions consistently maximize business value
Your Profile
10+ years of professional experience, including several years in senior architecture roles, with mandatory expertise in Microservices and AWS
Strong foundation in application and integration architecture; experience with Kubernetes is highly desirable
Practical experience in Enterprise Architecture Management, with exposure to frameworks such as TOGAF (basic to advanced level accepted)
Proven ability and motivation to bridge enterprise-level governance with hands-on architectural execution
Experience with architecture repositories and documentation tools is a plus (e.g., LeanIX, Confluence)
Ability to create clear and structured architecture visualizations; experience with C4 is preferred, but UML, ArchiMate, or Arc42 are also acceptable
Confident user of /
Solid knowledge of cloud governance, API design, event-driven architectures (critical requirement), data architecture (data mesh, data governance), and messaging platforms
Comfortable balancing strategic oversight with practical coaching and quality assurance for architecture teams
Strong business-oriented mindset, ensuring architecture decisions are driven by measurable value
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with a proactive and confident approach
Fluent English (C1) written and spoken is mandatory; German skills are considered an advantage
Nice to Have
TOGAF certification or completion of an intensive Enterprise Architecture program
AWS Solutions Architect and/or Kubernetes certifications
Background in software development (Java, Python) and experience with CI/CD pipelines
Experience working in agile delivery environments (Scrum, Kanban)
