Establish a high-performance sourcing culture and set the standard for excellence within our global procurement function.
Develop and execute strategic sourcing projects and cost-reducing process/supplier improvement projects, and the source to contract process.
Work closely with category managers and project stakeholders to deliver results.
Develop, outline, and execute projects in accordance with agreed-upon deliverables, timings, and budgets.
Manage stakeholder and supplier relationships to ensure that sourcing strategies are aligned to current and future business needs.
Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives that will generate value through increased supplier performance and/or capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Work with relevant category managers to develop and execute a fully integrated, business-aligned category plan for assigned category areas.
* Develop global sourcing strategies, aligned to the category strategy, to drive savings and value for the company.
* Conduct or support negotiations with suppliers on all commercial and contractual matters.
* Support supplier segmentation, supplier relationship management (SRM), and quarterly supplier reviews for all strategic suppliers.
* Manage contracts, agreements, and sourcing strategies for the supply of materials/products and services.
* Propose and implement improvements & innovations within the assigned spend areas.
Requirements:
* 2+ years working within a strategic procurement/sourcing environment, employing a formal category/sourcing management process.
* Experience of strategic sourcing/running tenders.
* Understanding of category management principles with knowledge of how to define a strategy and experience of translating it into actionable plans and managing these plans through to implementation.
* Ability to gather, analyze, and interpret data, confirming its accuracy and adequacy, and using it to drive decisions as well as present results and business cases to management.
* Understanding of financial principles, resource planning, and allocation, to support delivery of a category plan to deliver cost management, resilience, and continuous improvement.
