Transport Economist Lead Position
NTU International A/S is seeking a seasoned Transport Economist Lead to spearhead the implementation of the EIB funded project called Guimarães Public Transport Decarbonisation (CNC – PT). This exciting opportunity requires experts to support the core team during the project's execution.
The overarching objective of this assignment is to deliver advisory support for the development of the Guimaraes Municipality Bus Rapid Transit and Sustainable Urban mobility plan projects. These initiatives aim to accelerate the decarbonisation of the transport system in the Municipality through an integrated and coordinated approach.

I) Qualifications and skills:
Minimum requirements include at least a Bachelor's Degree in economics, finance, engineering, transport planning or related field, as well as a working command of English language (CEFR C1). Additionally, proficiency in Portuguese language is essential.
* At least 15 years' experience in the transport sector
* Working command of English language (CEFR C1)
* Working command of Portuguese language
General professional experience:
Applicants must possess at least 15 years' experience in the transport sector.
Specific professional experience includes at least 12 years of advisory or delivery experience on urban transport infrastructure and services projects. Furthermore, expertise in the preparation of CBA analyses for public transport projects is required, demonstrated by involvement in at least 5 different projects of this kind in the applicant's CV.
Additionally, applicants should have knowledge and experience in the preparation of financial models for public transport projects, with involvement in at least 5 different projects of this kind in their CV. Knowledge and experience in preparing public transport contracts will be considered an asset.
Knowledge and experience in planning, preparing, procuring, contracting, and delivering public transport projects under PPP models will also be highly valued.
