About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Junior IT Technician to join our team in Portugal. This role requires daily onsite presence and combines hands-on desktop support with active participation in monitoring and maintaining our global IT environment, specifically within
Microsoft 365 and Azure tenants.
You will be the first point of contact for office-based technical support while also playing a key role in identifying and escalating potential vulnerabilities across our systems. The ideal candidate is someone who takes initiative, thrives in a collaborative environment, and has a keen eye for emerging risks.
Responsibilities
The Job Role is focused on the following:
Desktop & End-User Support
* Provide daily onsite support for staff, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of desktops, laptops, peripherals, and software
* Handle user account setup, password resets, and basic Microsoft 365 support
* Maintain IT asset inventory and ensure hardware is in good working order
Cloud & Security Monitoring
* Review Azure Security Center, Microsoft 365 Security & Compliance dashboards, and related monitoring tools daily
* Identify and escalate potential vulnerabilities, risks, and unusual activities
* Support patch management and endpoint security compliance
* Assist senior IT staff with follow-up actions on alerts and incident response
Collaboration & Process
* Work closely with the global IT team to ensure consistent security posture across all regions
* Document troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and recurring issues
* Contribute to IT process improvements and knowledge sharing
Competencies
Key requirements should include:
* Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft 365, and common desktop applications
* Basic understanding of Azure Active Directory, security monitoring, and cloud administration
* Familiarity with patching, antivirus, and endpoint management
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
* Good communication skills in English (spoken and written)
* Good understanding with mobile devices (Android and iOS) for managing of BYOD of team members
* Exposure to security operations or vulnerability management
* Familiarity with ITIL processes and documentation practices
Experience
The Job Role requires:
* 1 to 2 years of experience in IT support, helpdesk, or a similar role
* CompTIA A+, Microsoft 365 Fundamentals, or similar entry-level IT certifications
