Your New Role
As a Payroll Team Leader, you will be responsible for coordinating and supervising payroll operations for the Italian market, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery. You will act as a key point of contact between the payroll team, internal stakeholders, and external providers.
Your main responsibilities will include:
* Leading, motivating, and developing a payroll team aligned with service level agreements
* Overseeing end‐to‐end payroll processes for Italy
* Ensuring compliance with Italian labor and tax legislation
* Reviewing payroll calculations, corrections, and reconciliations
* Acting as escalation point for complex payroll issues
* Supporting audits, reporting, and continuous process improvement initiatives
* Collaborating with HR, Finance, and external vendors
What You Need to Be Successful
To succeed in this role, you should have:
* Proven experience in payroll, preferably with a leadership or coordination component
* Strong knowledge of Italian payroll legislation and processes
* Fluency in Italian and English (written and spoken)
* Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
* Strong communication skills and stakeholder management abilities
* A proactive mindset and the ability to work in a fast‐paced environment
* Experience with payroll systems and Excel (advanced level is a plus)
