The Role
As a Chef Pizzaiolo, you will play a pivotal role in the kitchen's operation by supervising the pizzaiolo team, managing production, and maintaining an efficient, safe, and hygienic working environment.
Your Key Responsibilities
* Team Management and Leadership:
o Supervise and guide the pizzaiolo team by defining tasks, delegating responsibilities, and monitoring performance.
o Provide ongoing training and support to enhance the team's skills and ensure high-quality production.
* Pizza Preparation and Production:
o Oversee the preparation and production of pizzas, ensuring compliance with established recipes and quality standards.
o Master and implement various pizza-making techniques, including dough preparation, ingredient handling, and cooking methods.
* Stock Management and Cost Control:
o Monitor inventory levels, minimize waste, and coordinate timely replenishment of ingredients.
o Maintain a cost-conscious approach without compromising quality.
* Hygiene and Food Safety:
o Enforce hygiene and food safety protocols, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards.
o Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and related areas.
* Quality Control:
o Inspect and ensure the quality and presentation of all pizzas before service.
o Consistently deliver pizzas that meet or exceed guest expectations.
* Operational Efficiency:
o Plan and organize daily and weekly production schedules to meet demand effectively.
o Collaborate with other kitchen teams and management to optimize service delivery.
Requirements
* At least 5 years of proven experience as a pizzaiolo, including supervisory and team management roles.
* In-depth knowledge of pizza-making, including dough preparation, ingredient selection, and cooking techniques.
* Strong leadership and team management skills, including task delegation, team motivation, and employee development.
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across teams.
