We are looking for a SharePoint Software Engineer who is willing to relocate to join our Client's team in Brussels, Belgium.
Eligibility:
Candidate must have resided in Portugal for at least the past 5 years.
Portuguese citizenship is mandatory.
Candidate must be prepared to obtain EU security clearance upon accepting the job offer (with Hexa coordination).
Key Responsibilities:
Further develop existing components of the enterprise portal and implement new front-end and back-end functionalities, including testing.
Manage the portal platform, organize data ingests, and support the development of AI/ML functionalities.
Conduct regular engagements with stakeholders to define and refine user requirements.
Translate requirements into portal functionalities and continue to evolve the portal's design, applications, and user groups.
Map existing portals and infrastructure for potential federation with the current solution.
Develop backend capabilities including advanced search and visualization features.
Integrate and collate data from multiple enterprise databases into the portal while ensuring scalability and future compatibility.
Administer content management, version control, and environment migrations.
Define and enforce security and integrity policies, including documentation of standard operating procedures.
Maintain technical records of the entire design and development lifecycle to ensure business continuity.
Perform quality checks, testing, and trials to validate portal functionality.
Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for all developed solutions.
Required Qualifications:
A university degree in a technical discipline with substantial IT content and at least 5 years of relevant experience.
Alternatively, a minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in software engineering may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
Proficiency in:
SharePoint development (Server Side Object Model, Client Side Object Model, SPFx).
SharePoint and SQL Server administration.
C# development with .NET 6 and above.
Modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks (React), Web Services, XML, JSON, ASP.NET.
Developing dashboards, interfaces, and advanced visualization tools.
Integration via APIs and backend interfacing.
Drafting user manuals and technical documentation.
Applying design patterns and software engineering best practices.
Debugging tools such as Fiddler and browser dev tools.
Engaging stakeholders and translating needs into technical solutions.
Very good spoken English
Desirable Qualifications:
Security accreditation processes.
Multi-threaded applications in C#.
Search platforms such as Elasticsearch, OpenSearch, Solr, or Splunk.
Database security and backup protocols.
Microsoft Server OS and SQL Server configuration and troubleshooting.
Intelligence software development or cyber threat intelligence.
Working in international or NATO-related environments.
