Assistant of Controller - Assistente de Controlador
Job Description and Responsibilities:
• Oversee the Finance/Accounting team in Portugal
• Maintain and implement Finance/Accounting Foreign policies
• Manage monthly close – Including reviewing and approving reconciliations
• Support audit process
• Support tax process
• Analyze and review financials –weekly/monthly/annual
• Support Operations
Requirements:
• Associate degree in Accounting or Finance
• Experience in the Hospitality Industry preferred
• 5 years’ experience in the Finance/Accounting department with increasing responsibility
• Experience with financial software and ERP systems
• Experience managing up to 8 employees, including A/P
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organizational skills, with a demonstrated ability to multitask and thrive under tight deadlines
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Fluency in English.
• Madeira resident is Mandatory
• Available for immediate start
