About Our Commissioning Engineer Role
This is a key position for an experienced engineer who will lead the commissioning process of our HVDC switchyard projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, preparing and coordinating pre-commissioning/commissioning/start-up activities.
Key Responsibilities:
* We are seeking a professional to develop and ensure adherence to a detailed commissioning schedule and plan, covering all aspects of pre-commissioning and start-up phases through to project completion.
* The ideal candidate will prepare and/or update a comprehensive commissioning manual to document all procedures and protocols.
* Develop a reporting structure and accountabilities for the commissioning team to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
* The selected individual will plan and coordinate the commissioning/start up schedule and necessary work with third-party providers, ensuring timely and safe execution.
* A critical aspect of this role is developing pre-commissioning test procedures and documentation to meet client requirements.
* The successful candidate will correct any deficiencies found during the commissioning process and ensure compliance and progress reports are produced in accordance with client and legislative requirements.
* Liaise with government agencies where required to obtain necessary approvals prior to start-up and ensure all regulatory requirements are met.
* We require the successful candidate to prepare client acceptance forms and ensure satisfactory sign-off is obtained, confirming project completion.
* A major responsibility of this role is developing comprehensive quality, environment and safety commissioning plans to ensure the highest standards are maintained throughout the project.
Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you will need experience in HVDC switchyard commissioning, as well as strong leadership and communication skills. The ideal candidate will have a mid-level professional background and be able to work independently, with minimal supervision.
You will be expected to lead cross-functional teams and collaborate effectively with stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
