Deployment Engineer • Beja, Beja, Portugal
Meritis, an IT consulting, management, and development firm founded in 2007, with offices across France and now Lisbon, is seeking a skilled Deployment Engineer for our Beja, Portugal location.

Mission: The Deployment Engineer will be responsible for application deployment, continuous integration, and batch processing, primarily using OpenShift and Kubernetes.
Responsibilities:
1. Application Deployment and Continuous Integration (DevOps / OpenShift):
2. Collaborate on application deployment and ensure continuous delivery processes.
3. Demonstrate experience with OpenShift and Kubernetes.
4. Master containerization concepts including Docker, images, pods, services, etc.
5. Work with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and GitLab CI, following best DevOps practices.
6. Understand networking, security, and storage in cloud environments.
7. Manage application deliveries and technical documentation.
8. Adapt Jenkins jobs according to technical evolution.
9. Prepare delivery packages and automate deployment processes.
10. Monitor release tasks and provide technical support as needed.
1. Batch Processing:
2. Write implementation documents for batch jobs in CONTROL-M.
3. Adapt scripts for batch launches (ksh, cmd, etc.).
Required Skills:
* Proven experience with OpenShift and Kubernetes.
* Mastery of containerization concepts (Docker, images, pods, services).
* Understanding of distributed architecture and client-server models.
* Experience with application servers like JBOSS and Tomcat.
* Knowledge of Oracle 19c Exadata DBMS.
* Proficiency in Unix and Windows scripting.
Preferred Skills:
* Experience with batch schedulers like Control-M.
* Familiarity with CI tools such as Git, Artifactory, Jenkins, XLDeploy, XLRelease.
* Experience with testing tools like JIRA, XRAY.
* Knowledge of incident and change management tools like ServiceNow.
* Proficiency with collaborative tools like Confluence and Office 365.
