We are looking for a Junior Accountant to join an international company based in Lisboa on a temporary assignment (maternity leave cover). This role offers hands-on exposure to core accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and support during critical reporting cycles.
Description
Support daily accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local regulations
Assist in month-end closing activities, including accruals and reconciliations
Perform accounts payable and expense-related analysis (T&E)
Prepare supporting schedules and basic reporting for internal stakeholders
Maintain proper documentation and ensure data integrity in accounting systems
Assist in updating procedures and documenting processes when needed
Collaborate with internal teams and support ongoing process improvements
Profile
Degree in Accounting, Finance or similar field
Up to 2 years of experience in accounting (internships included)
Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
Good Excel skills and comfort working with systems (ERP exposure is a plus)
Fluency in English (mandatory)
Proactive attitude and ability to work in a structured environment
