SAP Basis Specialist Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled SAP Basis Specialist to join our international team.
Job Description:
As an SAP Basis Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliable and efficient operation of our SAP-based systems in a secure environment. This includes assisting with the configuration and maintenance of High Availability and Disaster Recovery SAP solutions.
You will also provide support for other applications and services as requested by the SAP Centre of Excellence, contributing your technical expertise where possible.
Additionally, you will provide second/third-line technical support in areas where you possess unique technical expertise, ensure effective root cause analysis and problem management, and provide technical and operational expertise for Major Incident Management.
You will be required to perform detailed planning and project management of implementation activities for updates and patching where necessary, conduct system health audits to validate system status, and report to the SAP Centre of Excellence Lead.
It is essential that you adhere to SAP functional best practices during Incident and Problem investigation and resolution, complete quality documentation for the SAP environments, and liaise with functional SAP experts and business teams to assist with ongoing functional support of SAP.
Your role will involve building, managing, and maintaining effective relationships with SAP Centre of Excellence, third-party suppliers, and business streams.
Finally, you will be responsible for performing different types of upgrades, including Kernel upgrade, SPS upgrade, version upgrade, and EHP upgrade.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Proven SAP Basis operational expertise of minimum 5 years or more in both support and implementation scope of work
* Attitude to listen and understand the needs of respective parties - effective and skillful communicator
* Experience with working in a relevant international environment doing incident resolution, problem management, and change request/enhancement support
* Self-starter to work under limited guidance and instructions
* Positive, proactive, enthusiastic attitude, self-motivated
* Excellent logical thinking mind to differentiate sequence of events
* Excellent critical thinking skills to identify root cause of issues to drive for efficient results
* Operational Basis Administration Experience in S/4, ECC, BW/4, CRM, Content Server, Web Dispatcher, SAProuter, BO BI Platform, BO Data Services, etc.
* Technically proficient in Linux, Unix, and Windows
* Dedicated to improving the required quality of system performance and solutions
* ITIL and SCRUM Knowledge and Experience
* Fluent business English, both verbally as well as in written communication
