We are looking for an
AI Engineer
to join a multidisciplinary team of
Developers and AI Engineers
and work on
AI systems that support software engineering workflows and enterprise platforms
.
This role is focused on the practical application of
Large Language Models (LLMs)
in real-world systems. You will help design and build solutions that combine LLMs, retrieval mechanisms, and system integrations to solve engineering and operational problems at scale. A solid understanding of
software design and architecture
is essential.
What You'll Do
Design and implement LLM-based capabilities for internal products and platforms
Build and improve RAG pipelines, including retrieval, grounding, and context handling
Define and refine prompts, tools, and interaction patterns for production use cases
Evaluate output quality and improve system behaviour through testing and iteration
Monitor performance, latency, and cost of AI workloads in real environments
Work closely with developers and AI engineers across design, implementation, and delivery
Document technical decisions, experiments, and best practices
What You'll Need
Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field
Up to
4 years of total professional experience
2 years of experience working with AI/ML systems
At least 1 year of hands-on experience with LLM-based systems
Strong programming skills in
TypeScript / Node.js
, ideally with
NestJS
Solid understanding of
software design, architecture, and distributed systems
Experience building or integrating
APIs and service-based systems
Good understanding of
RAG patterns
, embeddings, and retrieval workflows
Experience with
containerized environments
and
Kubernetes
Practical experience with LLM platforms such as
OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Anthropic
, or similar
Strong problem-solving skills and a pragmatic engineering mindset
Good written and spoken English
Fluent Portuguese
Nice to Have
Experience building AI applications for developer workflows or enterprise use cases
Familiarity with tool calling, agentic patterns, or MCP-style integrations
Experience with vector databases, semantic search, or retrieval infrastructure
Knowledge of evaluation, observability, or MLOps practices for AI systems
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
Knowledge of enterprise integration platforms such as
Fusion Middleware, Tibco, or webMethods
