Your ResponsibilitiesYour Responsibilities- Act as the global IT Solution Architect for Project and Portfolio Management Solutions as the architectural design authority for PPM solutions, ensuring functional completeness, scalability, performance and maintainability. Provide detailed specifications on functional and non-functional requirements for Project- and Portfolio Management (PPM) platforms and related capabilities within Global IT. Define solution blueprints, architecture diagrams, integration patterns and technical standards for PPM applications. Assess the systems architecture currently in place and work with project management and development teams to recommend improvements to the architecture. Evaluate project constraints to find alternatives to the design, alleviate risks, and perform re‐engineering if required. Identify architectural risks, constraints and technical debt and proactively drive mitigation and optimization measures. Assess the business impact of technical choices, accounting for project challenges and constraints including risks, time, resources and scope. Collaborate closely with IT Product Owners, delivery teams and vendors to ensure architectural intent is preserved throughout Agile delivery. Support in the solution build and integration to meet the requirements of the organization. Provide supervision and guidance to development teams and help resolve technical problems as they arise. Work closely with project management teams to monitor initiative progress and define/manage expectations for proper execution. Stay apprised of relevant vendor/application roadmap(s), including scope of upcoming planned releases. Continuously research current and emerging technologies and propose changes where needed or that add value to the solution. Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for simplification, standardization and automation across the PPM landscape. Support in defining, implementing and maintaining Global IT's application and technology standards across geographical regions. Actively participate in an architectural community (e.g., Architecture Guild) to share good practices and lessons learned and to hone skills and technical capabilities. Your qualificationYour qualification- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or related field. Minimum 3 years' experience in solution design, build, deployment and maintenance in enterprise IT. Deep understanding of PPM processes, portfolio governance, KPIs and portfolio management best practices. Hands-on experience with PPM platforms (e.g., Microsoft Sensei, Jira Align, Smartsheet, MS Project) including configuration, reporting and administration. Ability to design scalable, secure, maintainable solutions in complex IT landscapes. Produce solution architectures, blueprints, diagrams and detailed design specifications following standards and patterns. Act as architectural authority: assess architecture, identify technical debt and risks, evaluate trade-offs and recommend improvements. Knowledge of enterprise application architectures, integration technologies, APIs, data models and cloud platforms. Define component configuration and integration patterns; collaborate on integration plans, software builds and environment configurations. Experience in Agile and hybrid delivery; collaborate with Product Owners and delivery teams on scope, requirements and prioritization. Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder-management skills; apply QA, security/compliance practices and use reporting/analytics to drive decisions. Support solution build, integration, deployment and design/execute integration tests.
