Global Network Security Engineer (F/M/X)

About the role
* The Solvay Secured Network Team provides comprehensive network and security services across all Solvay sites worldwide, including 70 user sites, 40 plants, 5 Data Centers, and Cloud services. The team is part of the Digital Technology Infrastructure division.
* The technical environment includes Wi-Fi, LAN, SD-WAN, SSE, Internet Access, Local Firewalls, and Central security for Remote and Cloud Access. Operations are managed by a Network Operation Center.
* The Global Security Network Engineer will be responsible for:
* Implementing and maintaining security tools such as firewalls, SASE, remote access solutions, and authentication systems.
* Designing and executing security projects to enhance security and detection capabilities.
* Collaborating with security architects and stakeholders on security technology implementations.
* Creating technical designs for security and network based on Solvay standards.
* Managing technical resolutions during cyber incidents.
* Monitoring cyber risks within the secured network scope.
* Supporting incident response efforts with NOC and SOC teams.
* Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
* Maintaining network security documentation and policies.
* Staying updated on emerging threats and security technologies to recommend improvements.
About you
* Degree or equivalent in Network Engineering, Cybersecurity, or related field.
* Experience in Network Security Engineering or Global Network Management.
* Certifications in Palo Alto Network technologies (On-prem Firewalls, Prisma, SDWAN, Panorama, Strata).
* Expertise in designing and configuring advanced network security solutions.
* Knowledge of security frameworks like NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls, and ITIL processes.
* Experience managing firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPNs globally.
* Proficiency with security tools such as Palo Alto, Cisco ASA, Fortinet.
* Skills in risk assessments, penetration testing, and vulnerability management.
* Ability to monitor network traffic with tools like Wireshark or SIEM platforms.
* Proactive, detail-oriented, adaptable, collaborative, and accountable in security operations.

* Competitive salary range: €35,600 to €48,700, based on skills and experience, with additional incentives.
