OverviewWe are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive QA Automation Engineer to join our growing team at Red Light Software.You will play a vital role in ensuring the quality, stability, and performance of our software products through manual and automated testing. Working closely with developers, project managers, and other stakeholders, you'll help build reliable software solutions that deliver exceptional user experiences.ResponsibilitiesDesign, write, and maintain automated tests using Cypress, Selenium, Capybara or any other relevant and related tool.Execute and manage manual test cases based on functional and technical specifications.Collaborate with development teams to integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.Own test planning, execution, and reporting for features and releases.Perform various types of testing including functional, regression, UI, integration, and smoke tests.Log, track, and verify defects using issue tracking systems such as JIRA.Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to test strategy discussions.Help maintain QA environments and test data setup processes.Continuously advocate for best QA practices and identify areas for improvement in both product and process.Requirements2+ years of experience as a QA Engineer with a strong focus on automated testing of web applications.Practical experience writing automated test scripts with Cypress, Selenium, Playwright, Capybara or any other relevant and related tool.Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, Java Script, and browser behavior to assist in UI test debugging.Familiarity with test runners and assertion libraries like RSpec or JUnit.Experience working with CI/CD tools like Git Hub Actions or Git Lab CI.Proficiency in working with REST APIs and testing them using Postman or similar tools.Experience working with AWS-based environments and understanding of cloud-based deployments (is a plus).Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Effective communication skills and a collaborative mindset.Nice to HaveExperience with BDD tools like RSpec.Experience in performance or load testing like JMeter.Experience in testing Single Page Applications (SPAs) and responsive design.Exposure to containerized environments such as Docker or Kubernetes.PerksCompetitive Salary Package Commensurate With Experience And Qualifications.Comprehensive health insurance plan.Flexible work hours and the option for remote work.Professional development opportunities, including conferences, workshops, and training programs.Collaborative and inclusive work environment that values diversity.Opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies and industry-leading projects.Company-sponsored social events and team-building activities.If you're a dedicated QA Automation Engineer aiming to contribute to groundbreaking projects within a collaborative setting, we want to hear from you.
