Client Delivery ManagerDepartment: Business OperationsEmployment Type: Full TimeLocation: PortugalDescriptionThe Client Delivery Manager is the accountable owner of a defined client portfolio ("pod"), responsible for delivery excellence, workforce performance, commercial outcomes, and ongoing client relationships.
Acting as a mini General Manager, you will lead a distributed contingent marketing workforce across EMEA while bringing deep marketing subject-matter expertise to oversee delivery quality, challenge client thinking, and guide high-performing teams.This role requires a senior marketing practitioner who can operate credibly with enterprise stakeholders, provide hands-on guidance across marketing disciplines (e.G. Marketing Ops, Performance, CRM, Content), and translate business objectives into scalable workforce solutions.You will partner closely with Growth Managers (who own pipeline creation), while you own post-sale account success: delivery standards, retention, margin, and expansion within live accounts.
- Act as senior marketing SME across your pod, providing hands-on guidance and quality oversight across disciplines such as Marketing Operations, Performance Marketing, CRM/Lifecycle, Content, or Creative- Challenge client briefs, delivery approaches, and resourcing models where needed- Support contingent marketers with practical direction and best-practice standards- Be recognised by client stakeholders as a credible marketing leader, not just an account owner- Shape delivery frameworks and playbooks based on real-world marketing experience- Act as primary operational owner for assigned client departments- Build trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders- Ensure consistent delivery quality across all workers in your pod- Lead governance cadence (weekly delivery, monthly commercial, quarterly planning)- Run pod account QBRs with Client PoCs- Supporting Client Growth Manager and Regional Lead with full CoE reporting, pod performance data/reporting and QBR content- Own escalation management and resolution- Be accountable for talent quality, engagement, and retention within your pod- Set performance expectations and intervene where delivery standards are not met- Own replacement decisions and workforce optimisation- Partner with People Team and Operations on onboarding, exits, and engagement initiatives- Maintain clear visibility of delivery mode (Staff Aug vs Managed Delivery) per worker- Own pod revenue, margin, and forecast accuracy- Protect rate integrity and manage scope on managed delivery engagements- Identify margin leakage and implement corrective actions- Partner with Finance to review pod P&L performance monthly- Support renewals and contract extensions- Identify expansion opportunities within existing client departments- Translate client roadmaps into workforce growth plans- Partner with Growth Managers on commercial structuring and proposals- Act as subject-matter expert during upsell conversationsWithin 6–12 months you will: Be recognised by clients as the operational owner of their workforce- Run a stable, high-performing pod with strong engagement and low attrition- Deliver against revenue and margin targets- Maintain predictable renewals- Build a clear expansion pipeline in partnership with Growth ManagersKey Responsibilities- 8+ years in senior marketing roles (agency-side or in-house), with demonstrable hands-on experience leading marketing teams or programmes- Deep practical expertise in one or more enterprise marketing domains (e.G.
