In 2024, we merged with The Loop co., a Portuguese software services company, so we now boast over 250 Engineers across the different locations.About the role:We are seeking a highly skilled React Developer to join our dynamic team in building a cutting-edge Over-The-Top (OTT) mobile application focused on video streaming. The ideal candidate will have extensivetrack record in the OTT industry, specifically working on video streaming.Key Responsibilities:Design, develop, and maintain a high-performance OTT mobile application using ReactCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and backend developers, to define and implement innovative features for video streaming.Work closely with third-party vendors and partners to integrate services and ensure a cohesive end-to-end application.Implement robust, scalable, and maintainable code following best practices and modern development standards.Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to video streaming, cross-platform compatibility, and performance bottlenecks.Mentor junior developers, conduct code reviews, and contribute to improving the team’s development processes.Stay updated on the latest React advancements, OTT industry trends, and video streaming technologies to drive continuous improvement.Required Qualifications:5+ years of professional experience using React.Proven experience building and deploying video streaming mobile applications in the OTT industry.Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript, and related libraries/frameworks.Deep understanding of mobile app architecture, state management (e.g., Redux, MobX), and UI/UX principles.Knowledge of RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and integration with backend services.Experience with testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Detox) and CI/CD pipelines for mobile apps.To apply for the role or for more information get in touch with the team at Ovyo at talent@ovyo.com
