We are looking for an experienced
AS400 Developer
to support and enhance critical business applications running on the IBM i platform, ensuring stability, performance, and reliability in a high-availability environment.
Responsabilities:
Develop, maintain, and enhance core applications on IBM AS400 (IBM i).
Program using
COBOL, RPG/RPGLE, and SYNON (CA 2E)
, along with CL and DB2 for i.
Provide 2nd and 3rd line production support, incident resolution, and batch processing (EOD/EOW/EOM).
Manage system integrations (e.g., SAP) and ensure data integrity across interfaces.
Perform technical analysis, documentation, unit testing, and support UAT.
Drive improvements in system performance, maintainability, and legacy optimisation.
Key Requirements:
5+ years of AS400 development experience in enterprise environments.
Proven experience supporting mission-critical, high-volume systems.
Strong combined expertise in
COBOL, RPG, and SYNON
.
Experience with production support and high-availability systems.
Knowledge of batch processing, job scheduling, and DB2.
