Duty Location: Based in Portugal (Lisbon or other regions, depending on program location)
Position Overview
MOBT Global is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Program Assistant to support the successful delivery of a faculty-led academic program in Portugal. The position involves providing logistical and cultural support, working closely with the MOBT Global Program Leader, university faculty, and student participants to ensure smooth program operations.
All food, transportation, and lodging expenses will be covered by MOBT Global for the duration of the program.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide logistical coordination during the faculty-led program in Portugal, including site visits, excursions, and academic activities.
* Accompany program participants on all scheduled activities to ensure a safe and seamless experience.
* Act as a cultural liaison, helping participants understand and engage with Portuguese customs, traditions, and social norms.
* Assist with orientation sessions and provide translation or interpretation (English–Portuguese) during meetings or site visits as needed.
* Coordinate with local vendors, including drivers, guides, site coordinators, restaurants, and accommodation providers.
* Support the Program Leader in managing unexpected situations or emergencies during the program.
* Serve as a point of contact for participants, offering guidance and assistance throughout their stay.
* Assist with airport transfers and travel logistics for faculty and students when required.
* Submit daily reports summarizing activities, observations, and any logistical or participant-related updates.
* Collaborate closely with the MOBT Global team and university representatives to ensure all program goals are met.
* Perform other tasks as assigned by the Program Leader or MOBT Global operations team.
Requirements
* University degree with at least 1 year of relevant experience, or current university student with related experience.
* Fluent in English and Portuguese, with strong cross-cultural communication skills.
* Resident of Lisbon (or nearby area) with good knowledge of local culture, geography, and practical logistics.
* Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, to accommodate program activities.
* Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
* Prior experience in program coordination, study abroad support, hospitality, or cultural facilitation is preferred.
* Must be fully available January 1–6, 2025, while the program is in operation.
