Role Description
The Head of Acquisition is a key leadership role responsible for driving the growth of our real estate investment portfolio while fostering strong relationships with our private clients. This individual will lead the entire acquisition process, from sourcing and evaluating properties to negotiating and closing deals. Crucially, this role will also act as a primary point of contact for investors, guiding them through their investment journey, from initial consultations and property tours to financing and ongoing portfolio management.
Key Responsibilities
Acquisition
* Develop and implement strategies to identify and source potential investment properties.
* Build and maintain a network of real estate brokers, agents, and property owners.
* Conduct thorough due diligence on potential properties.
* Assess investment potential and prepare proposals.
* Lead negotiations with property sellers and manage the acquisition process.
* Stay abreast of market trends and identify emerging investment opportunities.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with private clients.
* Conduct initial consultations to understand investment goals and risk tolerance.
* Provide expert advice on investment strategies and property selection.
* Organize and conduct property tours for potential investors.
* Assist clients with securing financing and navigating legal requirements.
* Provide ongoing support and portfolio management to existing clients.
* Collaborate effectively with other team members (Lawyer, CRM, credit mediator and property scouters).
* Collaborate and ensure a smooth transition between the different departments of the company (design, renovation, property management) to ensure a seamless client experience.
* Contribute to the development and improvement of investments processes.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
* 5+ years of experience in real estate acquisitions and/or client relationship management, preferably within a private client setting.
* Strong understanding of real estate investment principles, financing options, and legal frameworks in Portugal.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills with the ability to build rapport with clients.
* Strong analytical, negotiation, and solving skills.
* Fluency in Portuguese and English (written and spoken).
* Existing network of contacts in the Portuguese real estate market and investor community is a plus.
