About the Position

NIMGenetics, a company by LGC, seeks a Head of Sales in Portugal. Location: Portugal, preferably Lisbon (Remote with travel as needed). Reports to: Iberia Sales Director.

At NIMGenetics, we focus on advancing genetic diagnostics and personalized medicine across Europe. We are seeking a strategic leader passionate about healthcare innovation to drive our expansion in Portugal. This role involves leading commercial activities, building relationships with healthcare institutions, and implementing sales strategies to grow our presence.


Your Mission:

Lead the regional commercial efforts, develop client relationships, and guide distributor teams to success, ensuring alignment with company goals and market needs.


Key Responsibilities:


Sales Strategy & Market Leadership

* Manage P&L of NIM Portugal Business plan
* Develop and implement commercial strategies for Portugal
* Design tailored action plans across regions and sectors
* Monitor market trends and adjust strategies accordingly


Business Development & Key Account Management

* Identify and engage healthcare partners, lead negotiations
* Manage customer lifecycle from prospecting to support
* Coordinate visits and support with internal teams
* Support distributor sales teams during negotiations
* Train distributor partners on products and sales
* Provide market feedback to product teams
* Develop local sales tools and models
* Contribute to product development initiatives


Planning & Reporting

* Prepare strategic plans and budgets
* Report on KPIs in quarterly reports
* Maintain accurate records in CRM systems
* Represent NIMGenetics at industry events
* Build relationships with key opinion leaders


Additional Contributions

* Assist with grant proposals and market research


About You

We seek a high-performing, entrepreneurial leader who thrives in a fast-paced, driven environment.


Candidate Profile

* 10-15 years in business development or sales in life sciences or healthcare, experience in genetics or medical devices is a plus
* Deep understanding of the Portuguese healthcare system
* Background in genetics, medical science, or biology preferred
* Experience working with international HQs
* Proven success in autonomous growth environments
* Native Portuguese speaker, fluent in English; Spanish is a plus
* Strong communication and negotiation skills
* Willing to travel across Portugal
* Aligned with NIMGenetics' mission and values
