We're looking for an experienced Staff Engineer to join our development team in Lisbon, Portugal!
️ Write and review code, provide constructive feedback in code reviews, deliver exemplary solutions, contribute to the development of critical products/features, resolve technical debt, and maintain ownership of parts of the codebase.
️ Contribute to short-term technical strategy and product/platform goals, and lead their implementation to achieve defined OKRs.
️ Mentor and inspire multiple teams of software engineers, including newcomers, by offering technical guidance and support.
️ Create and document technical solutions and system designs, lead effective solution defense ceremonies, review solution designs from other teams when needed, and take ownership of solutions developed by their teams.
️ Support and improve logging, metrics, and performance within their domain.
️ Enhance and lead automated testing efforts to ensure effective code coverage and high-quality releases.
️ Collaborate closely with other technical leads and management to align technical decisions and the roadmap.
️ Identify, organize, and promote internal training sessions and meetups, and consistently share knowledge on emerging technologies.
️ Actively participate in and drive engineering initiatives beyond their immediate domain that enhance overall engineering excellence.
️ Bachelor’s, Master’s, or higher degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or a related field.
️ 12+ years of software development experience, with at least 3+ years in technical leadership roles.
️ Hands-on experience with Node.js.
️ Proven ability to design and implement scalable, high-performance cloud-based systems.
️ Solid experience with Kubernetes (K8s), containers, infrastructure design, SQL and NoSQL databases, and agile methodologies (ideally Scrum).Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and coding patterns.
️ Experience with high-load systems, WebSockets, message brokers, third-party integrations, secure development, and design mockups.
️ Proven expertise in CI/CD pipelines, microservices architecture, cloud-native development, and information security best practices.
️ Excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
️ Experience in the iGaming industry is a plus.

️Important: This is an on-site position based in Lisbon. Remote or hybrid work is not available. Candidates must either already be in Lisbon or be willing to relocate. Full relocation support will be provided if necessary.️
