A leading Portuguese group, currently undergoing a significant organizational transformation aligned with a sustained growth and international expansion strategy, is seeking to recruit a Corporate Lawyer to join its Legal Department.
This role will play a key part in providing transversal corporate legal support across multiple business units, ensuring full regulatory compliance and alignment with the
Group's strategic objectives. The position offers high exposure to senior leadership and active involvement in strategic decision-making processes.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide corporate legal support across the Group's business units;
* Act as Company Secretary for certain Group entities;
* Ensure compliance with corporate governance standards and applicable regulatory frameworks;
* Play an active role in the Group's M&A activities, supporting acquisitions, integrations, corporate reorganizations, and related transactions, in coordination with internal stakeholders and external advisors;
* Support corporate restructuring and the integration of new companies within the Group;
* Advise the Board of Directors and Executive Committee on strategic and governance matters;
* Contribute to international operations and key strategic projects of the Group.
Qualifications
* Law degree and active membership with the Bar Association;
* Professional experience equivalent to or greater than 7 years in corporate law, ideally in a corporate environment or a Law Firm;
* Relevant experience in corporate law, ideally in a corporate environment or law firm;
* Solid experience in corporate governance and exposure to M&A transactions;
* Strategic thinking, strong analytical skills, and technical rigor;
* High level of integrity, discretion, and the ability to engage confidently with senior stakeholders;
* Fluency in English.
