Overview
Are you passionate about large-scale data architecture and building high-performance data pipelines? We’re hiring a Senior Data Engineer to join our team and work with cutting-edge big data ecosystems, cloud technologies, and scalable data lake solutions.
Responsibilities
* Design and implement scalable data pipelines and real-time streaming solutions
* Lead the development of data architecture strategies across cloud and on-prem platforms
* Ensure data quality, governance, and security standards are upheld
* Collaborate with Data Analysts and other teams to deliver business-critical insights
* Investigate and resolve performance bottlenecks in big data environments
* Contribute to the evolution of our data infrastructure and promote engineering best practices
Qualifications
* Degree in Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field
* 6–9 years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on big data
* Strong background with big data frameworks: Hadoop, Spark, Hive, Kafka, NiFi
* Proficiency in Python and either Java or Scala
* Hands-on experience with data lakes and data lake best practices
* Experience working with NoSQL databases and real-time processing tools (e.g. Flink)
* Knowledge of SQL, data governance, and security concepts
* Familiarity with workflow orchestration tools such as Airflow or Control-M
* Understanding of machine learning concepts and their application in data pipelines
* Experience with cloud platforms (GCP, Azure, or AWS) is highly valued
* Agile mindset with experience in Scrum or Kanban environments
* Minimum B2 level of English (fluency required)
Nice to Have
* Experience with performance optimization in distributed data systems
* Previous involvement in cloud migration or data modernization projects
* Knowledge of authentication mechanisms like Kerberos
