Job Description Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Finance Manager will be responsible for business partnering, performance management, financial planning, reporting, analysis, compliance, controls, and talent development across the property.Business Partnering and Performance ManagementConsistently deliver professional, proactive, and solution‐oriented support to operational teams.Review and analyze departmental financial performance, including variances, forecasts, and budgets; challenge assumptions and propose strategies for continuous improvement.Contribute to key business decisions related to revenue generation, cost optimisation, and investment.Support and follow up on corrective action plans arising from internal and external audits.Promote financial literacy across the leadership team to strengthen accountability and performance.Financial Planning, Reporting, and AnalysisAnalyze and interpret financial data, translating insights into clear and actionable recommendations.Partner with the Director of Finance on monthly reporting, balance sheet reviews, and performance analysis.Support the preparation of annual budgets, capital plans, and rolling forecasts.Enhance forecasting methodologies, labour models, and financial planning accuracy.Support and oversee month‐end closing processes in line with group standards.Own and oversee all statutory and fiscal compliance in Portugal (e.g., SAF‐T, IVA, COPE), ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and alignment with local regulations and corporate policies.ComplianceEnsure all financial practices comply with corporate policies, the Uniform System of Accounts, and local regulatory requirements.Safeguard hotel assets and ensure adherence to management agreement obligations.Maintain all legal, financial, and contractual documentation in a secure and compliant manner.Act as a key point of contact for auditors and external stakeholders on financial and compliance matters.Controls and PoliciesDevelop, implement, and maintain robust internal control procedures in line with corporate standards and FOCUS.Provide oversight and remote guidance to the finance team (AP, AR, Income Audit), ensuring adherence to processes and continuous improvement.People and Talent ManagementSupport the development of the finance team, fostering autonomy, accountability, and continuous professional growth.Contribute to talent development, succession planning, and identification of high‐potential team members.Maintain a collaborative and high‐performance team environment through regular communication and engagement.Qualifications5+ years of experience in finance, ideally combining audit/consulting and operational finance roles.Strong knowledge of Portuguese statutory and fiscal requirements.Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.Advanced proficiency in financial reporting, analysis, and financial systems.Strong command of Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.High level of integrity, reliability, and attention to detail.Fluency in English (written and spoken); additional languages are an asset.Employee Benefits Enjoy a range of exclusive colleague benefits, including complimentary upgrades, extended stays, discounted stays at Accor, Fairmont, and Raffles properties, special discounts on dining and wellness services, and additional luxuries to enhance your experience.
