/ppbr/ppbThis role in summary /b /ppThe Supply Chain Manager Portugal leads end-to-end supply chain operations, ensuring efficient, cost-effective, and resilient processes across procurement, planning, logistics, inventory management, and distribution.
The role combines strategic oversight (approximately 40% tactical) with strong operational execution (fully hands-on), ensuring service excellence, business continuity, and alignment with growth and profitability objectives.
/ppbr/ppbYour responsibilities will include /b /pulliDevelop and execute the local supply chain strategy aligned with Iberia and global business objectives.
/liliLead demand forecasting, production planning, and capacity management to ensure service level excellence.
/liliManage end-to-end logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, customs, and distribution activities.
/liliOptimize inventory levels and turnover while maintaining target service levels and minimizing working capital.
/liliEstablish and negotiate contracts with logistics providers and key suppliers to ensure cost efficiency and performance.
/liliMonitor and improve supplier and logistics provider performance through KPIs and corrective action plans.
/liliDrive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and strengthen supply chain resilience.
/liliLead, mentor, and develop the local supply chain team, fostering accountability and collaboration.
/liliManage daily communication with internal stakeholders, external partners, customers, and the Managing Director, including handling contingency situations and escalations.
/liliEnsure compliance with Incoterms, customs regulations, and international trade requirements.
/li /ulpbr/ppbMinimum requirements /b /pulliMinimum 5 years of experience in logistics and/or supply chain roles, including team management responsibility.
/liliSolid knowledge of ERP and TMS systems (e.g., SAP) and strong analytical skills (Excel, BI tools).
/liliFluency in English (written and spoken), and Portuguese.
/li /ulpbr/ppbPreferred skills and experiences /b /pulliBachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
/liliExperience in an international operating environment.
/liliStrong knowledge of Incoterms, customs procedures, and international transportation.
/liliProven experience managing order desk operations combined with demand planning responsibilities.
/liliDemonstrated ability to negotiate freight rates and manage third-party logistics providers.
