Business Development Manager
The Sales Department at our resort is seeking an exceptional Business Development Manager to join our team. This leadership role requires a strong business acumen and the ability to drive revenue growth across various markets.
Job Responsibilities
This position functions as a business leader, overseeing bookings for groups, social events, wellness, sports, leisure and wholesale segments. The ideal candidate will provide day-to-day leadership to a team of sales associates and leverage above-property sales channels to achieve property revenues.
1. SUPPORT THE COMPLEX DIRECTOR OF SALES IN DEPLOYING EFFECTIVE SEGMENT STRATEGIES ALIGNED WITH RESORT GOALS.
2. ASSIST IN DRIVING PROACTIVE AND REACTIVE SALES ACTIVITY ACROSS ALL RELEVANT MARKETS, WITH AN EMPHASIS ON LUXURY TRAVEL, HIGH-NET-WORTH INDIVIDUALS, GROUPS & SOCIAL EVENTS, WELLNESS, SPORTS, LEISURE SALES, CONSORTIA, AND TMCs.
3. COLLABORATE WITH THE MARriott GLOBAL SALES ORGANIZATION (GSO), AND PARTICIPATE IN SALES MISSIONS, ROADSHOws AND HOSTED EVENTS TO GENERATE NEW BUSINESS.
4. HELP IDENTIFY AND ACTIVATE SEASONAL CAMPAIGNS AND ON-BRAND PROMOTIONS TO STIMULATE DEMAND.
5. MANAGE AN INDIVIDUAL SALES PORTFOLIO AND ACHIEVE PERSONAL REVENUE AND CONVERSION GOALS.
We are looking for a skilled professional with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, strategic thinking and planning capabilities, and negotiation and closing skills. In addition, a bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sales or a related field is required, along with 5-10 years of previous experience in the function.
Linguistic knowledge: Excellent communication skills in English and Portuguese (written and spoken).
