About the Role
We are supporting a major transformation programme for a leading organisation undergoing a large-scale overhaul of its OSS/BSS and customer-facing technology stack. This is not a strategy role – this is about execution at scale. The programme includes the simultaneous replacement and upgrade of 11 core systems (ERP, CRM, marketing automation, SSO, campaign management, loyalty platforms, customer data, websites and mobile apps), with an MVP targeted within 12 months. The foundations are in place – architecture, vision and designs are already defined. The challenge now is delivery. You will take ownership of a highly complex, multi-vendor, multi-workstream programme, ensuring alignment, accountability and successful execution in an ambitious and fast-moving environment.
Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end delivery of a complex systems integration programme across multiple vendors and internal teams.
Drive execution against aggressive timelines, managing dependencies, risks and delivery milestones.
Coordinate across technical teams (architects, engineers) and business stakeholders (Legal, Finance, UX/UI, Operations).
Own programme governance, reporting and communication at all levels.
Manage vendor performance and resolve conflicts, ensuring accountability across all parties.
Oversee data migration and data governance, including data quality and cleansing strategies.
Continuously re-plan and optimise delivery timelines based on evolving dependencies and risks.
Ensure alignment across systems, including APIs, integrations, middleware and data flows.
Maintain focus on customer journeys and operational readiness, not just technical delivery.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Programme Director / PMO Director delivering large-scale systems integration programmes.
Strong understanding of OSS/BSS environments and multi-system ecosystems (CRM, ERP, customer data, etc.).
Hands-on experience managing multi-vendor delivery models simultaneously.
Solid technical foundation (not hands-on coding) with understanding of: APIs and integrations, event-driven vs synchronous architectures, middleware and data consistency, scalability, latency and system performance considerations.
Experience working with tools such as Jira and engaging with technical documentation when needed.
Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
Strong programme governance, prioritisation and organisational skills.
Experience managing multiple PMs, architects and cross-functional teams.
Highly desirable: experience with data migration and data governance ownership; background in regulated environments (e.g. healthcare, financial services, pharma).
PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent certification.
Experience delivering programmes with high levels of complexity, ambiguity and tight timelines.
