Position:AI Quality Assurance Engineer Location:Porto, Portugal Work model:Hybrid — 4 days per week onsiteProject Context Our client operates a complex integration testing environment, validating data and application flows across a wide landscape of interconnected systems and teams.
The Porto team is expanding and looking for a technically strong QA Engineer who can go beyond traditional testing — contributing to AI-powered testing practices, including the development of AI agents to support and enhance testing processes.
This role combines deep technical testing expertise with innovation in AI-driven quality engineering.Goals & Deliverables Design and execute integration test strategies across complex, multi-system environments Write, maintain, and execute test cases covering functional and technical flows Work daily in a Linux environment (Red Hat VMs, scripting, log analysis, process management) Perform database validation (Oracle & MySQL) to ensure data integrity across systems Conduct root cause analysis, including log investigation and collaboration with development teams Contribute to the development of AI agents and AI-assisted testing approaches Identify, track, and validate defects through regression testing cycles Produce detailed reporting, including test plans, metrics, and risk assessments Collaborate closely with Dev, QA, and DevOps teams to resolve integration issues Improve and promote AI-driven testing practices across teams Contribute to automation coverage improvements and measurable testing outcomesRequired Profile Minimum 3 years of experience in backend or middleware testing Strong experience in integration testing and data flow validation Hands-on experience with AI testing tools (e.G., automated test generation, anomaly detection) Experience with Oracle and MySQL database validation Proven experience in root cause analysis and defect tracking Strong experience working in Linux environments (shell, scripting, troubleshooting) Experience in banking or brokerage systems is highly valued Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail Ability to understand and explain application architecture and system interactionsTechnical Skills Skill LevelIntegration testing & data flow validation ->
