The Opportunity
We are hiring a Software Engineering Manager to join our CARE team in Portugal, focusing on generative AI, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and API integrations.
Your Impact
You will work on one or more of the following exciting areas:
Generative AI Development:
Design, develop, and implement generative AI based applications.
Work with large language models (LLMs) to create innovative applications and solutions.
Conduct research to stay updated with the latest advancements in generative AI.
Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG):
Develop and optimize RAG systems to enhance the performance and accuracy of AI models.
Implement robust data retrieval mechanisms to support RAG frameworks.
Collaborate with data engineers to ensure seamless integration of data pipelines.
API Development and Integration:
Design and develop APIs to interface with various AI models and services.
Ensure APIs are secure, scalable, and performant.
Ensure seamless integration of our AI applications with other software systems, enhancing interoperability and functionality.
Main Requirements
We are looking for a passionate and skilled Manager who:
Has a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field.
Has expertise in managing or technically leading a software engineering team.
Has knowledge of retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) and related technologies.
Is proficient in programming languages such as Python, Go, or Java.
Has experience with SQL/NoSQL technologies (e.g., OpenSearch, DynamoDB, PostgreSQL).
Has experience with API development and integration.
Has excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Is a strong communicator and team player.
Can work efficiently on high-scalable and distributed projects.
Has proven experience working on projects with unclear scopes.
Is a fast learner, easily adapting to new technologies.
