About The Job
The program begins with a month of professional training, which will help to enhance your technical and professional skills.
You will then be assigned to our regular tasks allowing you to gain the necessary practical knowledge about the business.
After the training period, you will work on real projects, become part of the team, and gain a real insight into the role.
You will be in contact with senior management, and you will be able to develop your own projects while assisting the team ensuring all balances are closely monitored and reported correctly.
Your Main Activities Are
Responsible for closing all events & roadshows within set timescales and updating client database
Roadshows to be closed within 4 months of roadshow end
Events to be closed within 2 months from event end once budget reconciled by Roadshow or Event Manager
Manage the entire invoice process:
Preparation of invoices to recharge costs back to clients
Query handling, investigation and follow up (including debt recovery) / other companies / other BNP Paribas subsidiaries etc using invoicing system.
Ensure monthly reporting of cost centres balances and make sure they are cleared by the end of each financial year
Monitor internal costs related to team projects and liaise with the relevant department to resolve any queries.
Ad hoc reporting on all events and roadshow activity.
Assist with annual budget process and other ad-hoc project work across the scope
Provide ongoing support and advice to all team members on any cost related questions.
Liaise with Finance Department / Business on any cost related issues.
Profile And Skills To Success
Bachelor's degree (minimum) in Management, Economics, Accounting, Finance and/or related subjects
Knowledge of accounting, advanced Excel (spreadsheets, pivot tables, graphs & charts from reports etc)
Written and verbal fluency in English
Excellent organisational and administrative skills, with a strong attention to detail
Exceptional time management skills, with ability to multi-task and manage multiple deadlines
Keen to learn;
resilient and capable to adapt to new challenges and environments
Ability to work effectively in a team or as an individual contributor
Creativity to devise new solutions for ongoing or new problems/ work intensive processes
Knowledge in Power BI/ Data visualization tools is a plus
Knowledge in Python, R or VBA is a plus
About The Team
This role will support two primary teams within the Marketing, Communications and Client Access (MC2):
UK CIB Events team: The UK CIB Events team manages events ranging from BNP Paribas Conferences, Seminars & Roundtables, Sponsored Conferences, Client Events, Corporate Hospitality, Internal Events, Awards Dinners, and Charity events.
Roadshows: The key objective is to introduce the Issuer to as many key potential investors in the most efficient and time effective manner, whilst offering full background support ensuring all necessary presentation material and legal documentation is available.
