If you see data and instantly start mapping tables, dimensions, and KPIs like a puzzle waiting to be solved, this role is for you. We’re looking for a Data Modeler who can bridge business needs and technical design, turning requirements into robust data models that power ETL/ELT and analytics.
What You’ll Do
As a Data Modeler, you will act as the bridge between business requirements and technical design, collaborating closely with Product Owners, Data Architects, and Engineers. Your primary focus will be translating business needs into effective data models that support robust ETL/ELT processes and advanced analytics.
* Design facts, dimensions, and KPIs in a DPaaS environment
* Build logical and physical data models with PowerDesigner
* Identify data gaps and define data quality rules
* Generate DDL and support ETL/ELT teams with model-driven structures
* Collaborate on source-to-target pipelines
* Work with tools such as Mitilian, Informatica, or SSIS when needed
What Must Be On Your CV (mandatory)
* 5+ years proven experience as a Data Modeler
* Hands-on experience with PowerDesigner (or similar tools)
* Strong knowledge of data architecture, dimensional modeling, and data quality
* SQL expertise and ability to generate DDL
* Familiarity with ETL concepts and pipeline design
* Fluent in English (B2 or higher)
* Must reside in Portugal
