Job Description Your contribution to something big: Lead the Charge: Spearhead mechanical design activities for groundbreaking ADAS sensors, guiding projects from initial quotation through to Start of Production (SOP), ongoing series support, and continuous improvement initiatives (change packages, RPP). Be the Expert: Serve as the primary technical contact for all mechanical design aspects, fostering strong relationships with both our valued customers and strategic suppliers. Drive Excellence: Prepare and meticulously maintain project documentation, adhering to our robust ME best practices. Master the Metrics: Plan, track, and control engineering costs, ensuring projects meet ambitious quality, budget, and time targets. Communicate with Impact: Prepare and deliver compelling project status updates and essential management reports, keeping stakeholders informed and engaged. Foster Collaboration: Champion synergies and efficiency across diverse engineering domains, including mechanical design, reliability engineering, and simulation. You'll work closely with our global partners (ME-SN IDN and IPN) to achieve collective success. Qualifications Educational Foundation: An MSc in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry, or a comparable technical field. Proven Experience: At least 2 years of project management experience within the automotive industry, specifically with a focus on mechanical design. Communication Powerhouse: Excellent communication and presentation skills, enabling you to articulate complex technical information clearly and persuasively. Self-Starter & Owner: You're self-motivated, proactive, and eager to take full ownership of your tasks and projects, driving them to successful completion. Adaptable & Curious: You adapt easily to new development environments and possess a genuine interest in automotive technologies and a wide range of technical fields (e.g., electronics, failure analysis methods, material sciences). Global Collaborator: Proficient in English, both written and oral. Knowledge of German is a definite plus. Additional Qualifications Leadership Acumen: Demonstrated coordination, leadership affinity, and prior experience in guiding teams. Process Mastery: Familiarity with the V-Model and practical experience with industry‐standard methodologies such as DRBFM, FMEA, and 8D.
