Your new role
We are looking for a Database Engineer with strong experience in SQL Server to ensure performance, reliability, and data consistency in an environment with OutSystems, Salesforce, and Python integrations.
This role works directly with development teams and is critical for application stability.
Responsibilities
Ensure performance and availability of SQL Server databases
Analyze and optimize queries (including those generated by OutSystems / Salesforce)
Identify and resolve performance issues (locks, deadlocks, bottlenecks)
Implement and maintain backup and recovery strategies
Manage HA/DR (Always On, Log Shipping, or equivalent)
Ensure data consistency across systems (ERP, CRM, integrations)
Collaborate with developers to improve data models and access patterns
Automate operational tasks (scripts, jobs, monitoring)
What you'll need to succeed
5+ years of experience with SQL Server
Strong knowledge of T-SQL and performance tuning
Experience troubleshooting in production environments
Experience with HA/DR and backups
Experience in application environments (e.g., OutSystems or similar)
Knowledge of data integrations (APIs, ETL, sync)
Scripting (PowerShell or Python)
Ability to work closely with development teams
