The role of Commodity Desk is to assist IDP Commodity buyers with specialized support in segment-specific negotiation preparation and strategy analysis, enabling deployment by the PSP Clerk in the system. The role also involves supporting requesters in understanding deployed strategies, managing contracts throughout their lifecycle, and communicating with suppliers to resolve issues.
The successful candidate will familiarize themselves with all aspects of purchasing at Faurecia and develop a solid understanding of core procedures (FCPs), tools, and IDP processes.
Main responsibilities include:
* Supporting IDP commodity activities
* Assisting buyers in interactions with key stakeholders (Operations, Finance, Group)
* Conducting advanced analysis to support strategy deployment (buying channels)
* Preparing for future negotiations
* Proposing new opportunities for savings and negotiations
* Managing serial contracts (payment terms, invoicing, renewals)
* Supporting strategic RFQ deployment and contract follow-up
* Operational support: Assisting requesters in contract deployment and liaising with suppliers to resolve operational issues (invoice conflicts, payment clarifications, credit notes)
Qualifications and skills:
The ideal candidate will have:
* A Bachelor's degree in Business or Purchasing
* Proficiency in French and English
* Minimum 2 years of experience in a purchasing environment
* Strong analytical skills, including Power BI, Power Query, and Data Analytics
* Proficiency in Office tools, especially Excel and PowerPoint
* Good organizational skills
