Operational Excellence Leader

Siemens Global Business Services (GBS) enables Siemens units worldwide and external customers to accelerate their business transformation into a sustainable and digital future.

In our GBS Western Europe and Africa Hub, over 1400 connected people from more than 57 different nationalities collaborate across 14 countries.

GBS Delivery Management (GBS DM) runs and maintains the operating system in Siemens Global Business Services, driving operational excellence to achieve efficiency, quality, innovation, and harmonization across all service deliveries.

This role is responsible for Operational Excellence globally and reports directly to the Global Head of Delivery Management.


Main Responsibilities:

* Develop and execute the Operational Excellence strategy aligned with organizational goals;
* Coordinate global continuous improvement initiatives within a defined framework to enhance efficiency and quality of services delivered;
* Define and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) and benchmarks for monitoring organizational performance;
* Lead the identification and implementation of process improvement opportunities using methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Agile;
* Drive cross-functional projects aimed at optimizing flows, reducing waste, and improving customer satisfaction;
* Foster a culture of continuous improvement by coaching and training teams on operational excellence principles;
* Develop and oversee a performance management system to track and report on the effectiveness of shared services delivery;
* Analyze operational data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement;
* Collaborate with regional and functional leaders to ensure alignment and consistency in performance standards;
* Act as a change agent to embed operational excellence principles into daily operations;
* Design and deliver training programs to support the adoption of new processes and tools;
* Partner with global and regional leaders to ensure alignment between shared services operations and business objectives;
* Serve as a trusted advisor on best practices and innovative solutions for improving service delivery;
* Facilitate forums to share knowledge, successes, and lessons learned across the organization.


Requirements:

* You bring leading-edge knowledge and experience in Business Excellence, Operational Excellence, Service Management, Quality Management, and Program Management;
* You have 5-10 years of experience working within Global Business Services or a similar type of business;
* You are familiar with global delivery and collaboration models in the services industry, including front-, middle-, and back-office models;
* Your way of working and communicating is open, proactive, and inclusive within your own organization as well as across layers and organizations;
* One of your strengths is enabling and driving change by listening, generating buy-in, fostering teamwork, and creating transparency within a matrix organization;
* Demonstrates the ability to navigate and excel in dynamic, fast-paced environments, responding effectively to evolving priorities and challenges. Thrives on managing complexity and uncertainty, with a proactive approach to driving results and maintaining focus on strategic objectives;
* You are fluent in English and flexible to work across different time zones as needed.
