HOTEL MANAGER | OPERATIONS MANAGER
In the heart of Portugal's countryside, a unique luxury hospitality project is entering a new phase.
Blending contemporary architecture, wine culture, gastronomy, and immersive connection to nature, this is a place where design meets authenticity — a curated retreat offering tranquility, identity, and refined simplicity.
With a small-scale hotel, villas, restaurant, spa, boutique winery, and residential component, the project is part of a broader vision that includes the development of a new farm-style property and the restoration of a historic estate. This marks a moment of growth, integration, and renewed ambition.
We are now seeking a passionate and results-driven Hotel Manager | Operations Manager to lead the daily operations and support the next chapter of the project's evolution.
The Role
The Hotel Manager will be entrusted with the strategic and day-to-day leadership of the property.
Acting as the operational backbone of the hotel, this person will support ownership in driving performance, quality, and consistency, while fostering a culture of engagement and service excellence.
This is a hands-on, high-responsibility role — ideal for a professional who thrives in meaningful, nature-rooted projects and is eager to contribute to a long-term vision.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead all operational areas, ensuring consistency and excellence across departments.
* Drive daily and long-term performance with full accountability over P&L.
* Uphold and continuously improve the standards of service in line with Relais & Châteaux and five-star expectations, maintaining the property's positioning in the luxury hospitality segment.
* Oversee front office, housekeeping, spa, and F&B in coordination with an experienced senior team.
* Act as a bridge between current operations and future developments, supporting the seamless integration of new units into the brand's growing portfolio.
* Work closely with ownership to help define and implement the group's long-term expansion strategy, aligning people, processes, and positioning.
* Play an active role in shaping and executing the commercial strategy, with a strong focus on international markets and premium distribution networks such as Virtuoso, Mr & Mrs Smith, Signature Travel Network, and others.
* Monitor and optimize KPIs across service, costs, and guest satisfaction.
* Foster a culture of ownership, clarity, and continuous improvement across all teams.
* Serve as a visible and present leader, engaging directly with guests and team members.
Candidate Profile
* 5–10 years of experience in operational leadership in luxury or boutique hospitality.
* Strategic mindset with strong operational discipline and commercial acumen.
* Proven ability to lead and inspire multidisciplinary teams.
* Fluency in Portuguese and English.
* Previous experience in resort or countryside settings is a plus.
* Willingness to live on-site (accommodation included).
* Passion for hospitality, nature, wine, architecture, and meaningful guest experiences.
